Serial Killer in Seminole Heights Neighborhood of Tampa: 3 Unsolved Killings, Connected • TUE OCT 24, 2017 9:53 AM CT








Three homicide victims, strangers to each other, have been shot in the same area (Seminole Heights neighborhood of Florida), in the same time frame. The victims are Anthony Naiboa, age 20 (killed October 19); Monica Hoffa (body found October 13, kill 11th or 12th); Benjamin Mitchell (killed on October 9) -- all young adults.

CBS News correspondent Omar Villafranca reports Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan believes the killings are connected based on their close proximity and time frame, but police haven't officially declared the unknown suspect as a serial killer.
In 2016 in the Seminole Heights, there was one murder and 14 shooting. In 2017 prior to the three connected murders, there no murders and five shootings. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Crime Stoppers are offering a $25,000 reward for tipsters at 800-873-8477.

Seminole Heights is a historic neighborhood and district, connected by streetcar in the early 1900s, that is located in central Tampa and includes many early 20th century bungalow homes and historic buildings. The population of the Seminole Heights neighborhood is over 24,000.
