CNN has offered tips for getting started with cooking at home.  First of all start with simple recipes. Basic cooking equipment includes: a large cutting board, a sharp butcher's knife, a large saucepan with a lid, a silicone spatula.

Basic ingredients include salt, pepper and virgin olive oil ... also beans, whole grains, nuts, dried fruit and vinegars.

Jackie Newgent, a registered dietitian, culinary nutritionist and author of "The All-Natural Diabetes Cookbook" advises people to start with simple recipes: a basic omelet, a grilled-cheese sandwich, or a basic spaghetti dish.
Cooking Light relaying a report from One Click Retail that Whole Foods’ 365 Everyday Value brand is expected to expand availability Amazon, which released Whole Foods’ 365 Everyday Value brand online in August 2017 and reported growth of 9% per week.

Kroger's CEO Rodney McMullen stated that the retailer would be actively pursuing all eating occasions as it works to grow its “share of stomach.”  As Kroger, (Mariano's) Walmart, Aldi, and other retailers expand meal kit offerings and develop unique offers to suit their particular shoppers; tremendous growth in the "meal kit" category is forecast for 2018.
